Exfoliation - The key to reviving winter skin
The snow is melting and the sun is shining in Colorado! Love Love Love Spring. Now that it's time to shed the winter coat, it's time to shed those layers of dead skin cells too. It sounds a bit icky, but it's true. Exfoliation helps to reveal the fresh, healthy cells below with instantaneous results! It's about as close to baby-like skin as we get without a visit to the doc.
Exfoliation can be done mechanically by gently polishing the skin with granules of salt, seeds, crushed shells, sugar, etc. and chemically with Alpha Hydroxy Acids (Glycolic) and the like. The mechanical polishing sloughs aways the piled up layers and the AHAs etc loosens the "glue" that binds those dead cells together.
Fresh, healthy, baby-like skin is revealed and can easily be maintained with once or twice weekly exoliation. With some type of exfoliation, those fabulous serums and lotions you may be using must fight through layers of dead skin cells to get to the new cells below.
We've meticulously crafted our Intremezzo Body Polish (my favorite product) with certified organic Brazilian cane sugar in a specific size and facial grade oils and butters to nourish and rehydrate simultaneously. Sugar is our ingredient of choice because it melts at just the right time to provide the best level of physical exfoliation and it has naturally occuring glycolic acid to loosen those sticky dead cells. Crushed shells, like walnut, don't melt and can tempt over exfoliation and salt can sting nicks and cuts. Once you try it, we know you'll love it.
Great new tesimonial from S.R. in Colorado....
“I moved to Colorado recently and my skin is not accustomed to the dry climate. I always lather myself with lotion after getting out of the shower. The first time I used the body polish, I couldn’t get over how moisturized and smooth my skin felt! I usually it regularly now, and I don’t even have to put on lotion when I get out of the shower. The moisture lasts all day as well as the refreshing scent. This is by far the BEST body product I have ever used.” S.R.
